Japanese mfg. Gamakatsu and Owner hooks are considered by many to be the world's finest. Their extreme chemically sharpened points and special tempered high carbon steel wire strength are second to none, and jig hooks are forged for an additional level of strength. Gamakatsu has their own unique sizing, and our heavier wire 604 version generally appears to have the same shank lengths but slightly narrower gaps than other brands with the same size #. Beak point Owners on the other hand have a slightly wider gap than standard round aberdeens.
