Gamakatsu hooks are considered by many to be the world's finest. Their extreme chemically sharpened points and special tempered high carbon steel wire strength are second to none, and jig hooks are forged for an additional level of strength. Gamakatsu has their own unique sizing, and the heavier wire 604 version we use generally appear to be a little smaller than other brands with the same size #.
